People died in the night from Saturday to Sunday, February 28, during clashes between the displaced and villagers in Nyanzale Rusthuru territory in North Kivu.
Local sources indicate that it all began when the body of a young IDP camp killed in his field was reduced by other early evening. These displaced youth accused the villagers of being Nyanzale at the base of his death and opted for revenge.
They have in turn killed four Nyanzale village, a village in the area Bwalanda in chieftaincy Bwito.
Sources close to the administration of the territory also speak of forty houses burned while some residents found refuge at the base of MONUSCO.
