The New Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Rachid Agassim, arrived in Kinshasa two weeks ago. After his effective appointment, he preferred to make contact with Congolese and Moroccans living in Kinshasa. It is in this perspective that he gathered them Friday, December 23, 2016 in the sumptuous Salle Etoile of the hotel Pullman de la Gombe. A message was delivered. In this one, he presented his satisfaction to find himself in the country of the late President of Zaire Mobutu. He also acknowledged the sincere and supportive support of DR Congo throughout the period of rupture with the African Union. The latter is not limited only here, it extends to other African countries, notably: Tanzania, Rwanda, Mauritius, Benin, Mozambique … It has also been shown that the relations between these countries Two countries are profound. This is reflected in the presence of the Congolese Community in Morocco, which is well integrated and enjoys all rights and benefits from the advantages of the new migration policy. He finally expressed his concern to strengthen and reinvigorate bilateral cooperation with the DRC. His country was very respectful of freedom of worship, he said. Thus, he wished a good Christmas feast to all Christians. Read in full the message of the Ambassador, Representative of His Majesty the King.

ADDRESS OF THE AMBASSADOR OF MOROCCO, REPRESENTATIVE OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO

Excellencies,

Honorable Guests

Ladies and gentlemen

It is with great pleasure that I address you this evening here in Kinshasa.

I opted for a first contact by limiting this modest reception to a meeting between Moroccans and Congolese.

The reason is obvious, our countries enjoy an excellent relationship at all levels.

Morocco will never forget the solidarity and courageous position of the DRC, just as we had left the OAU, and today when we decided to return to the African family. The support of the DRC was and remains sincere and solidarity.

We have a Congolese community in Morocco that is well integrated and enjoys all rights and also benefits from the new migration policy initiated by His Majesty the King that God Assists and whose second phase has just been Inaugurated a few days ago.

This new migration policy is a perfect illustration of the deep and sincere bonds that exist between our two countries, as well as with all the countries of our dear continent.

If we were outside the AU in recent years, we have never left Africa, we are there through our projects and cooperation programs at all levels: diplomatic, economic, cultural and religious. ..

We believe in Africa. We trust in Africa solidarity, generosity, richness and humanity. We believe in the sincere spirit of South-South cooperation.

It is in this spirit that I express the will of my country to strengthen and revitalize bilateral cooperation with the DRC, this great country, not only by its size, but also by its great people and its countless wealth.

I wish with all my heart peace, stability and progress at the DRC.

I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Done at Kinshasa on 23 December 2016

Thanks, Matondo
