The Congolese Model Scouting has attracted an English girl-when we started this project, the aim was to feature only Congolese, but to our surprise, we received loads of complaints from England that we should not just feature only Congolese but think global. We do agree and also apologise to all beautiful women out there. This type of feedback will help us, do even more better.
Please keep those feed back coming in!
The gorgeous Jemma Smith, is your typical London girl that is mad with African fashion-she strongly believes that African fashion will never die, maybe- it might go quite, but will always come back with a Bang! One of the things Jemma Smith requested us to do while in Congo, is to take her to our Bandundu Barber shop.
What scared her the most, that could happen, while in Congo?? “To be kidnapped by Rwanda Militia” She sighs with relief!
We always make sure that our models, have a great time, Jemma would be allowed to be herself…making love to the camera, is not a skill that everyone has, it takes experience and passion to be a good model.
As always, we decided to play with the English flower, and to our surprise, Jemma loved playing more than us…
To make everyone happy, we decided to invite Jemma Smith to Congo. Yes, it was her first-time to the great nation of Congo and she was very impressed with the diversity of the people. To our amusement, she was very aware of the Congolese genocide and the plight of the Congolese people. “The main architecture of Congolese problems are foreigners, and the Rwanda President should be held accountable!” she said!
The invitation of the English flower, Jemma Smith to Congo, was something we doubted that could happen, but to our surprise, she never stopped phoning to ask, if we meant it. To us, it would be an opportunity to market Congo as a future tourist destination with plenty to offer. Of course. it will also diversify our model catalogue.
How could Jemma come all the way from London, and we don’t take her to our Banana beach..She loved the beach and was surprised that its not yet a tourist destination. However, she could understand, war does not attract tourists.
Jemma was indeed a true English flower, and she has decided to return to Congo before the end of this year-she has already fallen in Love, with the people and country.
Next time we bring you Princes Kazadi Fifi, playing with us at our Virunga Mountains studio
